Display Own Phone Number In Your Android Phone Status.

Android users can check their own mobile phone number in the phone status. Many android versions messaging features need  "My Phone Number" on the SIM card to link your picture to your contact in the contact list. But in India many mobile service operator doesn't include the phone number data with their SIM card. That's why when you check your phone status you can see that in "My Phone Number", there is no phone number or Unknown is displayed.


In this post I will try to solve this problem. I will tell you the procedure to write your own phone number on your SIM card and Hence displaying it in your Android Phone Status. Here in this tutorial I will use the Samsung Galaxy Y Young but the process will be similar for other phone models and other Android versions.

Writing Your Own Phone Number On SIM Card.

First you have to add your phone number information into your SIM card. The process in different from adding contacts to your SIM card. Follow these simple steps described below:

• First, Go to  Contacts and Press the Left Sub Key for more options.

• Now, click on More in the options and the click on Settings.
• Now, You can see Own Number option in Settings.

• Open Own Number setting By clicking on it.
• Enter Your Name and Phone Number in it and click on save button.

Now you have completed writing your own phone number for Your SIM card in your phone.

 

Display "My Phone Number" in my Phone Status.

For displaying your own phone number in your phone status first you will need to write it in your SIM card settings as described above.
If you have already completed above steps you can check your phone Status by going toMenu>>Settings>>About Phone>>Status.
Here you will see "My Phone Number" is not displayed yet.
For displaying it in status you will need to restart your phone and then check your phone status again.

Now, your own phone number will be displayed in the status.

Note:- In some other brand dual SIM phone like Spice and Micromax you can do this by going to your SIM Management Settings and adding  your phone number for that particular SIM.

How To Speed Up USB Pendrive Data Transfer.

In India we generally use USB 2.0 interface for tranferring data from one device to other. USB 3.0 is also available which gives super speed of 625Mbps (theoretically) but thay are not so popular in India because the system manufacturer were not producing them in India.
USB 2.0 is very popular and all the computer systems which are manufactured after year 2000
are bundled with USB 2.0. USB 2.0 is categorized in Hi-Speed interface for data transfer. They gives data transfer speed of up to 35Mbps (theoretically).
But when we use them to transfer data, practical speed is nearly about 4-7Mbps. This practical speed can be hiked up to 12-15 Mbps or more if you are lucky, by changing the USB device policies. In this tutorial I will explain you how to do this:

Increasing Speed Of USB 2.0

• First, plug in your USB device or pen drive in to your computer.
• Now after the device is connected, open "COMPUTER".
• Right click on your device and open Properties.

• Now, In when open dialog box click on Hardware Tab.
• Select the USB device from the list and click on properties below it.

•  Now, a new dialog box will open, In this dialog box click on Change settings button.

•  Again a new dialog box will open in this box, click on Policies tab. 

•  Now, you will see that your default Removal Policy is set to Quick Removal.
• Change the policy to Better Performance.

Now restart your computer system and enjoy the Hi- speed data transfer.

Note:- When you set your removal policy to 'Better Performance'  it will increase your data transfer speed but when you need to remove your USB device you must use 'Safely Remove Hardware' notification icon in the system tray. Otherwise your device will be damaged and it can ask for scan and fix bad sector when you plug your device again in the computer system.

Talking Computer

You can create voice from your computer. whatever you will write in the box, computer will talk the same words. process the given below. 

·          open notepad and write this code.

·         Now save this file with extension .vbs

·         Now write some thing in the box and click ok

·         You will hear the written sentence.

·         Try it now.

Remove Administative Password

If you have forgotten your administrative password then still you can boot your computer by deleting password. Just follow these steps.

1.                 Put your hard disk in any other computer.

2.                 Attach your hard as a secondary hard disk.

3.                 Now start pc and open “My computer”

4.                 Open the drive of your hard disk in which your window is installed.

5.                 open windows then system 32 and at last config

6.                 Delete 2 files. sam.exe and sam.log

7.                 again put your hard disk in your own pc and boot it.

8.                 There is no password…….

Here some tips for the safety of computer. A user can get better result and performance of computer speed by acting upon these tips. 

·         Don't  turn off your computer during working position of windows.

·         Alway turn off you computer manually by clicking on start menu and select shut down. If you are not using a mouse then simply press windows key and then press "U key" 2 times. 

·         Before connecting new hardware i.e cd rom, ram, hard drive etc, Turn off computer completely.

·         Always close Cd Rom by pressing its button, don't apply force on the gate of CD Rom.

·         Don't keep your computer near dinning table and also don't keep any liquid or water near your CPU. 

·         Keep you system in airy atmosphere. 

·         You can use AC in your compute room.

·         Don't use water room cooler in front of CPU.

TRICKS TO BOOT COMPUTER FASTER.

Often people say that their computers take a lot of time to start. Many visitors asked me by email about this problems. There are many reasons of this problem. I am telling you a few tricks which will be helpful to solve this problem.

1. Click start --- run -----enter.
2. Type “msconfig” and press enter.                                
3. In the resultant window go to the “Startup” tab.
4. You will see a list of programs which also start when we start computer.
5. All program boxes will be checked. So you uncheck all unnecessary or unwanted programs except antivirus.  
6. Click on apply and restart your computer. You will feel that your computer is faster than before.

2^nd Trick to boot computer faster

       I got this trick from one of my friend.

    1.  Right click on “My computer” and select “Manage”

    2.  click on “Device Manager”. You will see a list of hardware.

    3.  If you are not using USB/COM ports, then disable them.

     4.  Restart your Computer. It will give you more better performance in booting.
